REFUND & RETURNS POLICY

IRIS artworks are limited physical art objects.
Because ownership is permanently recorded upon activation, special conditions apply to returns.

Please read carefully.

1. Eligibility for Return

You may request a return within 14 days of delivery, provided that:

  • The IRIS artwork has not been activated
  • The NFC chip has not been scanned
  • The original packaging remains unopened and intact
  • The item is in its original condition
  • Proof of purchase is provided

If any of these conditions are not met, the item is not eligible for return.

2. Activation and Irreversibility

Once an IRIS artwork has been activated:

  • Ownership is permanently recorded in the IRIS system
  • The artwork’s digital passport is revealed
  • The rarity is disclosed
  • The ownership event becomes part of the artwork’s provenance history

For this reason:

Activated IRIS artworks are non-refundable.

Activation is irreversible and cannot be undone.

3. How to Request a Return

To request a return:

  1. Contact us at info@irisnyc.store within 14 days of delivery
  2. Include your order number
  3. Confirm that the IRIS has not been activated
  4. Wait for the written return authorization

Unauthorized returns may not be accepted.

4. Inspection & Verification

Upon receiving the returned item, we will verify:

  • Packaging integrity
  • NFC activation status
  • Physical condition

If the IRIS has been activated or the packaging opened, the return will be denied, and the item may be returned to you.

5. Refund Method

If approved:

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item arrived damaged
  • Processing may take 5–10 business days after inspection

6. Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives damaged:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Provide clear photos of packaging and contents

We will review and provide the next steps.

7. Final Sale Items

Certain releases may be marked as:

Final Sale

Such items are non-refundable unless defective.

8. Fraud Prevention

IRIS reserves the right to deny returns in cases of:

  • Activation attempts
  • NFC tampering
  • Abuse of the return policy
  • Repeated suspicious activity

9. Ownership Clarification

A Shopify purchase confirmation does not establish ownership in the IRIS system.

Ownership is recorded only upon NFC activation.

Return eligibility depends on activation status, not purchase status.
